Costume Surprise

Back in the beginning of September, I was at Walmart and they had just put out their Halloween Costumes. I decided to buy one for each of the boys. I've never spent a lot of money on costumes before, but these were so perfect for each of the boys and I had my pick, for once.
So I put them in the cart and brought them home. I hung them up in my closet thinking that I would probably end up returning them another day. Buyer's remorse.

Over the next few weeks, as the boys discussed what they wanted to be for Halloween, surprisingly, not one of the boys picked the costumes I had tucked away in my closet. I was getting a little worried, because by now the selection was probably picked over and then what was I going to do. I kept trying to say, well don't you want to be so and so or this or that. But nope, they always had something else in mind.

Well, about a week before Halloween, we were all hanging out and I decided to pull out the costumes. I told them to close their eyes and that I had a surprise for them. I prefaced it by saying that sometimes we don't always get what we want, but we still need to be happy and grateful.

I had them open their eyes expecting them to say, but mom, I didn't want to be that. But instead, they all freaked out. They love them and started ripping off the tags and putting them on as fast as they could go. And surprisingly they all fit them perfectly. I thought they would be way to big.

So here they are.
Tyson is Darth Vader
Preston is BatmanMason is a Red Power Ranger - Jungle FuryWell worth the price to have it done and taken care of early. Even if I did pay full price. And they all loved them. Pheww. Now I've told them they can play dress ups when ever they want. I've got to get my money's worth.

I loved their costumes. Glad they did too.

Those are seriously awesome costumes! It is so fun to have boys because there are so many options other than "princess".

Matthew would have loved hanging out with this awesome group of superheros!

Seriously though, you picked wisely because you already knew what characters they liked.

Yes, the price is worth it. Matthew's cost 24 for the Ironman suit, and 5 dollars for the mask. (he is the only kid I spend a lot of money on for costumes because he actually wears them everyday!)
